Importance Of Cyber Security And How To Be Safe.


Lets first understand that what is Cyber security and Why it is so, important?
Cyber security is important because it encompasses everything that relates to protecting our data from cyber attackers who want to steal this information and use it to cause harm.

It's a code of conduct of moral value which one can show or pause.

its means that it is a way by which a person can safe his/her data by using some major protocols while using the Internet. 


THIS WAS ALREADY  HIGHLITED IN 
THE ECONOMIC TIMES.

As per the data of CERT-In, Parliament : 

Over 26,100 Indian websites were hacked during 2020.A total number of 110, 54 and 59 websites of Central Ministries, Departments and State Governments were hacked during the year 2018, 2019 and 2020, respectively, Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Sanjay Dhotre said in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha.
"As per the information reported to and tracked by Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In), a total number of 17,560, 24,768 and 26,121 Indian websites were hacked during the year 2018, 2019 and 2020, respectively," he added.

Recently we have also Read about this incident in which our PM Modi's Twitter account was also got hacked by the hacker.
According to the central government data there for last of October there have been about 30,000 fresh cyber security incident.
from past last 3 to 2 years there number of cybersecurity incident had crossed about 50,000 Everyday there is number of cases is been increasing that is why we all have to be more conscious about our security.


NEW DELHI: Personal details of about 533 million Facebook users globally, including 6.1 million from India, were allegedly leaked online and posted for free on hacking forums, according to a cybersecurity executive. 
HOW CAN WE BE SAFE ?(PRECAUTION)
1. Using Trustful websites: While using the internet we always have to ensure that we are using HTTPS Website or not.

Why HTTPS websites are more safer then HTTP websites? 
 

  • Data sent using HTTPS is secured via    
  • Transport layer Security protocol (TLS), which provides three key layers of  protection: Encryption: 
  •  Encrypting the exchanged data to keep it secure from eavesdroppers.


 

Make a strong and Good password.  


Creating a password with a length between eight to twenty characters and using with  special symbols which is very effective way to keep our password safe. If you can, try to make a blend of symbols, numbers, upper and lower case letters. This will make your password difficult to hack and this will protect your account from unwanted accesses.
